Successes

The year 4  and 5 and 6 book quiz teams travelled to Aberystwyth on the 21st of April to compete in the All Wales Book Quiz Competition. It was a dark and dull day but nothing dampened the spirits of the teams and their supporters. The Year 5 and 6 team did their very best in discussing and performing a piece about their book but unfortunatel didn't come in the top 3. The year 4 team also discussed their book and performed a piece and they were crowned the best performance and subsequently were crowned the Best in Wales! A huge congratulations to them all and thank you Miss Voyle and Mrs Moon for all your hard work. 

Congratulations to many of our pupils on their success at the Urdd National Eisteddfod this year. Betsan from Year 4 came first for her poetry, Hollie from Year 6 came second for writing a film review and Sion, Steffan and Jac came first for creating puppets of their favourite rugby players. Well done everybody and thank you to eveybody who helped them, especially to the Llannon WI who gave up their time to hold a sewing club in school.

Congratulations to the pupils in the Foundation Phase for winning a prize with the Welsh Heritage Trust for their work on 'Gwelaf i'. They worked extremely hard to create a portfolio of work and a display, and were delighted with their prize!
